Our Guide adopts Accessiway’s digital accessibility solutions: for a barrier-free website.
Accessibility, at the heart of our commitment
For the Guide to EU Projects and Funding, accessibility is serious business: our platform was created to be freely available to everyone and everyone, and we do our utmost to ensure that its use can take place under the best conditions, literally for everyone and everyone.
It is also a priority at the European level: at the European level the landmark accessibility legislation came into force in June 2025 (here a brief summary provided by AccessibleEU, here the dedicated section) and includes specific standards for digital accessibility as well.
Our platform has always adopted the best solutions to make its content as accessible as possible, through the services provided by Accessiway.
Our site’s accessibility adjustments are located in the lower right-hand corner, in a circle marked by a little white man on a blue background: let’s find out together what they offer.
Accessibility profiles
First, we have a number of specific profiles suitable for people with different types of difficulties and disabilities:
- Seizure-proof profile: eliminates light reflections and reduces color
- Profile for visually impaired people: improves website visibility
- AHDH-friendly profile: helps concentration and reduces distractions
- Cognitive disability profile: helps with reading and concentration
- Profile for keyboard web browsing: allows the website to be used entirely from the keyboardProfile for blind users: optimizes the website for screen readers
Content and color adjustment
A series of adjustments, on the other hand, allows the user to customize the display of pages and text, based on personal preferences and readability:
- Content Zoom
- Highlighting of titles
- Highlighting links
- High-readability font
- Magnifying glass
- Adjustment of character sizing
- Adjusting the height of the scale
- Adjusting letter spacing
- Text alignment (center, left and right)
- Contrast adjustment (dark, light, high)
- Saturation (high, low, monochrome)
- Adjusting colors (of text, titles and background)
Orientation adjustments
A final group of adjustments finally enables some features that:
- Facilitate reading: Reading mode / Reading guide / Reading mask
- Facilitate concentration: Turn off sounds / Hide pictures / Stop animations
- Facilitate interaction with the web page: Highlight focus / Highlight mouseover / Large cursor (white or black)
We would also like to remind you that each page of the Guide is printable as a pdf, through a special print-and-share interface that appears in the manual, tabs, and articles. We are working to further improve and make the Guide more accessible.
